Stella was trained as a sociologist at the University of Colorado Denver and Florida State University. At FSU, she specialized in life course, aging, and family inequality, under the guidance of Dr. Miles Taylor. She was a former data scientist for IBM and is now working to build bridges for data scientists in academia and beyond as the community coordinator for the Academic Data Science Alliance (ADSA).


In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and getting a little too competitive when playing board games with friends and family.

Her expertise in data science, academic research, and public policy has been honed through numerous degrees from Wellesley College, Central European University, Northeastern University, and Florida State University.


Under her leadership, Knowli has grown to serve governmental, non-profit, and private organizations throughout the Southeast, providing public policy leaders with data-driven decision support.
